Founded in 1923, Hillcrest Country Club has a tradition of excellence as the premiere Golf and Social Club in the area. In 1945, a group of business men aquired the property and converted it to a Jewish-only operation. The construction of the latest nine-hole addition began in 1987. In 1989, the club opened a new Clubhouse featuring a Main Dining Room, Bar, Heritage Dining Room and 19th hole with bar, for casual and smaller functions.
In April 2016, the club opened a new Par 3 hole and full length practice range to supplement the existing short game and putting green. The last tee times at Hillcrest were in October 2017. On June 28, 1970 the Hillcrest Country Club was engulfed in fire. The building was rebuilt and lasted another 35 years. Now it has been replaced by Meijer's store.
