From Fore Tee:
Braeside Golf Club was designed by R. Wieresema and Dale McFairland in 1978 and began construction in 1979. The golf course opened for play in 1981 with eighteen beautiful holes at an affordable price. The golf course measures 5267 from the forward tees and 6638 from the back tees.
The course's par-threes are some of the most difficult in the area, and it's easy to tell why: from the tips, the shortest of the four holes stands at 150 yards, with the other three measure in at 190, 195, and 220 yards. At those distances, even the most accurate golfers can fail to hold the green, leaving a tricky chip and putt in order to get up-and-down for par. Easier scoring opportunities await at the course's par-fives, which long hitters can reach in two. With four tee options, the course presents approachable challenges for golfers across the handicap spectrum.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,810 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,440 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 570 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.
The course closed in 2015. The 116-acre parcel was put on the market for $965,000 by Amicus Management, which is selling the property on behalf of United Bank. The bank took possession of the property in bankruptcy court.
