The 12 lane Gold Star Lanes and Lounge goes back to 1947 and was built by Ella and Briggs Stone. It was also owned and operated by Rolland G Harkness, who passed away in 1998 in Florida. Sadly the alley burned in 1994. At that time, it was operated by Tom Bertrand who indicated it would be too expensive to rebuild the alley. The site was once under consideration to be used for a strip mall or a new post office, but that didn't come to fruition. The lot sits empty as of 2023, although there is a strip mall adjacent. I am not sure if that parcel was part of the original property for the bowling alley.
