This driving range and par 3 course operated for 28 years, which would put the opening sometime in the late 1980's based on when it closed for good. Looking at Google Earth, it appeared the middle section of the lot was for the driving range with the 9 hole par 3 holes positioned around the perimeter. There was another small structure out on the golf course that maybe was for grounds-keeping equipment, I am not sure. It's possible the driving range out-lasted the par 3 course.
The sign on the 2013 street view stated "see you in the spring" but the 2018 version indicated it was closed by then. The land was put up for sale at that time. A Metamora-based travel trailer company wanted it to expand on but it required re-zoning. The planning commission turned him down citing the fact the property was zoned residential. Local homeowners also came out against it. Apparently the golf range was operating with a variance or a previous zoning policy. As of 2023, the lot remains empty.
