This mine was auctioned off in 1974. A 1971 ad indicates it was on US-2-141.
From a June 1970 newspaper article:
The Crystal Falls Mine, formerly known as the Kimball Mine, was established in 1889 and closed in 1907 for lack of ore. Three ore bodies were found and 40,000 tons taken out. The ore, however, was of a poor quality, with only 52 to 60 per cent iron. There were five levels in the mine, but only the second and third levels are open today.
