From Michigan Place Names:
FISHERS LAKE, St. Joseph County: this settlement in Park Township was begun in 1834 by Harvey Kinney who was assisted in building his cabin by George Leland and by Jonas and Leonard Fisher, after whom the lake was named [Cutler).
Fishers Lake once had a nice bar/restaurant called Fisher Lake Inn which operated for 38 years. Sadly it closed in 2024 citing labor and cost issues.
