I have driven by this place many times in my travels and always wondered about it. I had no idea it goes back to the 1920's. It is still going as of 2025.
Camp Wathana is a childcare and camp in Holly, MI, operating under Camp Fire USA Southeast Michigan Council. It offers a safe, clean, and interactive environment for children. The camp was purchased in 1926 by the Girls Scouts. It features rustic cabins, lodges, and modern campsites on a wooded, hilly property with lake views.
