Millington is a cool little town, there is a historical society you can visit in which they have some mementos from the old Capital Theater. The awesome retro party store sign may not be in Millington proper, but it is right down the street and is worth posting for its appearance alone.

Tuscola County: from the early mills along it, the government survey of 1822 named the stream which flows past here Millington Creek. Amos Wolvertö.d became the first postmaster of Millington on June 29, 1857. (David) Lane & Wolfe built a sawmill in 1859, and the village was platted in 1860 and named Lanesville; since about 1866, the village has again been called Millington, and in 1872, it was replatted and renamed as such officially by D. M. Blocher, then its principal owner, and Samuel Atwood and Joel Beckwith; incorporated as a village in 1877 [Alice Cutlar; Page; PO Archives)
