Montcalm County: it was founded and platted in 1856 by John Vickery as Vickery Corners. From its location in Bloomer Township it Was given a post Office as West Bloomer on March 2, 1857, With Benjamin S. Carey as its first postmaster. With Lora C. Jenks as postmaster, it was renamed Vickeryville on Nov 22 1869. The office operated until July 31, 1953 [Schenck; PO Archives]
