This single screen was built in 1969, and was the last single screen theatre to be built here. Seating for 1000, long and wide in modern designing. Huge, wide screen, later installed with Dolby stereo. Smokey and the Bandit, Slap Shot, Halloween , American Gigolo, Gone With The Wind, Thats Entertainment, Whats Up Doc?, Caligula(uncut) and the Exorcist have played here. It was a Butterfield Theatre, along with, the State, Capitol, Beacon, Douglas Drive-In and Portage Drive-In. Closed in 1985, the theatre was made into a night club, and the wall where the screen was was made into 2 levels, and a video store is in the bottom, a hair salon and a gym are in the upper floor. It was a sad day when the curtains on the screen closed for the last time.
