The Rialto Theatre was originally a live-film theatre although I have no idea of what was onstage other than some amateur nites that I remember. They had an enterprising manager, Maxie Geiler (prounounce Gee-ler) and when they had the theatre re-seated it was with the revolutionary "push-back/rocker" seats that was widely advertised. As the downtown area faltered and died the theatre went to adult only movies changed names and then ultimately closed.
