I lived on the first block of Tremont Ave west of Saginaw St. from 1947 to 1964. In the Fifties the Kids in the neighborhood would walk up to the Dixie Theater located on the west side of Saginaw St between Tremont and Knickerbocker Sts. Your map shows it in the City down by the Lutheran Chruch.
The Theater we attended looked like the Church at the Alamo in Texas. In it's later years it was a Church and a second hand store. It was on the south side of the North Dixie Food market just north of the Gulf gas station. I can remember sitting in the front row and ducking and screaming when a stage coach came right at us.
