The Riverfront 4 was a 4-screen theatre in Detroit which was opened in 1978 by Nicholas George Theatres. In September 2008, Uptown Entertainment opened the renovated Riverfront 4 Theatres located in Tower 200, level 2 of the GM Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit. Nearly 350 invited guests from the community attended the Saturday celebration. The featured film presentation was the animation movie “Igor”.
The new Ren Cen 4 Theater was offering a discounted admission price of $6 until October 5 when the regular price will be $8.50. Valet parking was free until November 1 when the price will be $2 with a purchased ticket.
The theatre billed itself as family friendly and state of the art, and was available to rent for meetings and events. Uptown Entertainment also operated the Uptown Palladium 12 and the Birmingham 8. The Ren Cen 4 Theatre was closed on June 30, 2015.
