My grandfather, Jacob Stocker, was the owner of the Myrtle. My father, Seymour Stocker, inherited from Jacob when he died. My father owned the theater until it closed in 1950. As a young boy I would go to work with my dad and help him in the projection booth. Fun memories of father-son times.
I found a mention of it in the 1913 newspaper.
