A large, ornate, neighborhood theater, seating over 1700, the Kramer was designed by the prolific C. Howard Crane. It was opened in 1920. The theater remained in operation into the early 70s, but has since been razed.

Closed in May 1971, reopened briefly in Summer 1972, then turned to adult films and closed again in September 1972.
