The old Catherine had it's up's and down's over the years. I found a few mentions of it in the Detroit News archives (see below). The address in the ad stated 1544 Chene. According to the historical aerial photos, Chene was re-routed at some point so it is difficult to know the precise location. The theater was twinned at a certain point before it closed in 1949.
