General Information:

The Sun Theatre was opened in 1939. There was another theater operating under the "Rudyard" name also, likely in the same building. The Sun Theatre was still open in 1957 according to Cinema Treasures. Looking at the 1953 aerial, I believe I see the old theater as the triangular marquee is visible. The building was on the SW corner of Main St and S Elliot. It is now an empty lot having been demolished between 1998 and 2005. I will use the address of the building next door, across Elliot as the empty lot has none.
