The Dewitt is now being used as a restaurant. The owner of the restaurant indicated that the marquee was still mounted on the building until the early 2000's. A snowstorm caused it to fall to the ground as the weight of the snow was too much for the aging structure. The interior doesn't resemble a theater at all anymore, you would never know it was one. An old photo reveals the theater was very similar in design to the Sun Theater in Williamston. This old downtown theater goes back to at least to at least the 40s based on the flyer, which is from 1948.
