My chief memory of the Center Theatre is of it being across the street from the Shearer Building, upstairs in which I had a couple of tooth extractions when I was a little kid. It had a very attractive neon-lit marquee. In later years there was a furniture store within. The building is now gone.

The Center Theatre was on the Southeast Corner of Center and Saginaw Sts. In later years it was a furniture store, the building has been demolished and at the present time a restaurant occupies the corner.
