AKA Meridian 1-4 Theatres
Source: Cinema Treasures
This was one of the earliest of the original AMC multiplexes, and was located within the Meridian Mall when that shopping center originally opened in 1969. The four-screen theatre was opened June 11, 1970. In 1977, during one of the mall’s remodelings, a separate multiplex opened in the mall, originally called Meridian 5-8, later the Meridian East 4. The West 4 was closed in 1993, the East 4 in 2003.
