The Parkway opened on Feb 23, 1972. The movie ads end in March 1978, at least under the name Parkway 1 & 2. The grand opening ad is a rendering of sorts. A fairly realistic looking drawing of the theater and the sign added to it as a drawing. I have gone back and forth on where the theater was in relation to the rest of the shopping center. I finally visited the site on May 14 2022 and I found a sign very close to what is pictured in the old ad. It would make sense to assume the theater was on the end where the sign was. I will go with that for now until I find out differently.

I used to go to the Parkway when it was open in the mid-late 70s. I was surprised to find the manger was Ken Wienert who used to be the assist mgr at the Ramona in Detroit when I worked there in the late 60s. The Parkway was a nice theater. Nothing fancy, but I was sad to see it close.
