The Southtown Theatre was opened October 24, 1940 with Loretta Young in “He Stayed for Breakfast”. It was operated by Butterfield Theaters chain. It was closed on April 1, 1956 with Scott Brady in “The Vanishing American” & Aldo Ray in “Three Stripes in the Sun”. It has since been demolished.
