This old hotel goes back to the 1930's. It was converted to Houghton Lake's first hospital in 1948. I don't believe it is still standing as I am not seeing it on the aerial photos. It was supposed be near a golf course 1 mile east of town on M-55 and there are some possibilities on the map for that but I can't be sure which structure it was. Folks didn't believe in street addresses in the old days LOL.
