This old 30 room hotel was operated by Gordon and Charlotte Welcome which is a great name for a lodging family. It goes back to the 1930's. It was destroyed by fire in October of 1967. It was also operated by Guy and Belle Irwin. There were 10 cottages available also but I believe those were across the street on the lake. The Welcome family resided at 285 State St (US-23) which I assume was the hotel. You can see from the old postcard it sat on the Au Sable River near the bend. That would put it just north of where PNC Bank sits as of 2023.
