This entry is documenting 2 motels, both with incomplete information. First off I found what is obviously an old, closed motel at 5362 Lakeshore Rd. in Deckerville. It looks like it had 5-6 units. The structure has been there since the 1940's as I found a classified ad for that address from 1949. As of 2023, the house that has been built in the modern era uses that address but that wasn't there back in the early days.
The second motel in Deckerville I found out about was closer to town on Black River St. That came from a mention in the newspaper from 1963 indicating a Dr. Roger O'Bryan had taken over the "former Deckerville Motel". Unfortunately no address was given and a quick scan of the aerial views didn't reveal anything obvious to me. So, I will continue my research and eventually I will nail them down.
