The Sunset motel goes back to prior to 1956 as it shows up on the aerial photo for that year. It was for sale by 1958. It was operated by Clifford Ray Hodge, who passed away in 1968. I believe it operated into the early 2000's. It was eventually sold in 2005 to the owner of the Dairy Queen next door who redeveloped the property. This resulted in the old motel being demolished and an office building sits in its place as of 2022. It seems the old Dairy Queen next door is gone as well.
