Dr. and Mrs. Earl Baker owned this property since 1936 as a campground. It was sold in 1959 to the Neid and Biedorn families. I found the opening ad for that version of the site from April 1959. By 1977, the property was sold once again to make way for the Waterfront Inn so I will document that here also. By 2005, the Waterfront Inn was wiped out to make way for Tamarack Lodge of Traverse City which is operating as of 2023.
