Rip's was a rib joint started in the 40s that is now operating as Heroes Bar-BQ & Brew as of 2026. Reviews are excellent. The general manager of Rip's (Jim Lehane) made news in 1983 when he dumped out his stock of Russian vodka after Russia shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007 (KAL 007), killing 269 passengers. It also operated as Dudley's.
