This old building goes back to the 1800s and has been used for many things over the years. One of them was the Old Howell House Restaurant. They also sold gifts and antiques. One of the operators were the Norman and Barbara Pettibone who also operated Pettibone's Grocery. Also Country Station Gift Shop. Wayne and Dorothy Blanchard also owned the place for a time. As of 2025 the building is a State Farm Insurance office.
