This restaurant started out as Kountry Kitchen which was a chain of restaurants. I will add more locations here as I find them. So far I have this one, Holly/Fenton, Auburn Hills, and Cadillac. This particular one eventually became Baba-Ruski until it closed. It has since been demolished. There are many restaurants using the "Kountry Kitchen" name that are independent so some of these might be those.
In addition there is a "Country Kitchen" chain that sued those using the "Kountry Kitchen" name for breach of copyright. However, the version using the "K" supposedly predates the version using the "C". At one time, there were 350 Kountry Kitchens around the country. There were several in Michigan but most if not all are gone, at least under that name.
