The Northwood Inn began as a roadhouse in the 1920's. In the earlier days, it featured buffet dinners and various orchestras for entertainment. It continued on for many decades until it eventually became the home of Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle which was very successful in the 1980's. It was near Club Berkley and the Totem Pole along Woodward.
Eventually the place was demolished by the early 1990's and a large medical building sits at the site today. The address I am using is the old official address but the modern day address is 28001 Woodward. Former owners (in no particular order) were the Hund Family, Eddie Schave, Dr. Nevit Ergin, Paul Jacobs, and Michael Zipster. I am sure there were others also.
