The Hoist was a nice little diner that operated mainly in the 60's and 70's. It was owned and operated by Charles and Shirley Rintala for 14 years back then. The restaurant was put up for sale in 1971 for $30,900. Shirley passed away in 2001 and her obituary is below. The building was next to the airport and WLUC TV. I found 2 possible structures on the 1981 aerial photo and I have denoted them in green on the aerial photo. I am using the address of the TV station for reference. It seems the structure has been demolished.
