Scotch and Sirloin opened in 1961 and was operated by Aubrey, Jerry, and Arlyn Meyerson. Chef Ned Heidman ran the kitchen. They served 53 different kinds of scotch and had a salad bar. They also had entertainment like Bernie Katz on piano. Eventually the restaurant changed hands and was renamed to Fogo's Seafood and Spirits. Sometime after that there were go-go dancers featured.
The place was sold again and the name reverted back to Al's Scotch and Sirloin when Al Kaftan bought it. He got rid of the go-go dancers. That was in 1981. Eventually it was sold yet again in 1991 to Darron and Marianne Schofield who planned on converting it to an electronics store. I am not sure if that came to fruition. The building sits empty as of 2023.
